Scope and content note

Lucille Minor (possibly also Minoe) was a 1951 graduate of Philadelphia's Glamour Finishing School, once located at 1201 North Broad Street. This collection primarily of photographs documents Lucille and her family from about the age of 11 (early 1940s) through at least her graduation. There are ninety-three black and white images ranging in size from 4 x 3 inches to 10 x 8 inches. A few photographs have been pasted into black album pages and have humourous captions. Identification is scare, but many of the images featuring Lucille are identified as such, and there is one group photograph containing a list of names verso. There is a mix of formal images taken of Lucille as a model and otherwise by Condax Studios (Walnut Street) and Thomas Hanks (Willow Grove), candid family photographs, portraits (most of Lucille), and a few nightclub snapshots -- Click in Philadelphia, and the Frolic Show Bar in Detroit, Michigan. Also included are her 1951 professional modeling diploma from the Glamour Finishing School and a graduation program naming her and the other graduates.
