Abstract
This collection of American piano sheet music ranging from 1860-1911 belonged to Minnie Reese (1852-1939). She was born in Mechanicisburg, Pennsylvania and attended Fairfield College. Using one of books in the collection, her piano teacher was likely J. B. Muller. Mr. Muller composed some of the selections in this collection.
Minnie married Bertram Gillespie Galbraith. The couple had three daughters, one named Aurelia. Some of the music is signed "Miriam Galbraith," Minnie Reese's married name. In the 1930 census, she is living with Aurelia and some of the music is signed "To Aurelia from Mother." Minnie (aka Miriam Galbraith) is buried in Bainbridge, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
