Holy Redeemer



Holy Redeemer was founded as a missionary church, spreading western Catholic doctrine in a Chinese context. Holy Redeemer also provided a school for the neighborhood, encouraging families to settle in Chinatown. The shrine in the middle photograph below, which borrowed from Chinese architectural style, is inscribed, "Everything from God."
