One Hundred Dollars Reward
broadside, 1856
Philadelphia Republican Daniel J. Miller offers a $100 reward to any voter who can disprove the claim that John Frémont and the Republican Party maintain the same doctrines once espoused by eminent statesmen such as Washington, Jefferson, Jackson, Clay and Webster: that Congress has the constitutional right to prohibit the extension of slavery into western territories.
