Patterson Mansion Rich in Memories
September 4, 1905
Helen C. Perkins Collection

In 1884 the Society acquired and moved into the mansion of General Robert Patterson, located at 1300 Locust Street. Though additions were built over the next twenty years, by 1905 it was decided to demolish the mansion and construct the largest addition, completing the main portions of the building as it stands today.
