In addition to events of the past, the Society often recognized the historic importance of current events and actively pursued collections and items related to them. Other areas of local and national interest, such as business history and family history, were also the focus of the Society's collecting efforts. At times, seemingly diverse areas of collecting overlap, as may be seen in the items featured here.
