To acquire, organize and store historical collections is only part of the Society's mission. Without the necessary descriptive tools such as catalogs, finding aids and collection guides, the materials would be as inaccessible to researchers as they would be if on another planet. When paired with the knowledge and experience of the staff, the guides seen here become the primary gates through which researchers enter the diverse holdings of the Society.
